Beautiful maroon cloth-bound history of the Vikings, with over 1300 illustrations. Gilt ancient snake designs on the covers, with gold Viking images on the spine, and titling. Rubbing to the extremities; bumping to the tips and occasional wear. Interiors with a previous owner’s name on the flyleaves, and a strange, short inscription at the end of each volume. Else the set is in excellent condition overall.
