Twain, Mark. Boston: James R. Osgood and Company, 1883. 1st edition, 2nd state. 300 b/w plates and cuts. Decorated original cloth. 624 pp. 8vo. Good.
Profusely illustrated, and bound in brown cloth with gold-paneled scenes and embossed flourishes. Ex library stamp bookplate on the pastedown, and an erasure mark on the spine. Frayed spine; rubbing around the edges. The binding is weak, with starting and a contained tear on one page. Splendid text block.
